In this article, you'll find all the information regarding the Napster/Rhapsody channel.
Introduction
Napster (formerly Rhapsody) is the original, streaming, music service. It boasts a catalogue of over 42 million songs (and growing) and over three million paying subscribers worldwide. Napster creates new ways to connect you with the artists you love. Plus, they personalize your music experience – the more you listen to, the more they can recommend curated playlists, new artists, and artists you may have missed (but just might love).
Napster has mobile apps for iPhone, Android, iPad, iPod touch, Kindle, and Windows Phone. You can listen to your music on any Mac or PC at http://us.napster.com/, or stream music to every room in your house with compatible home audio systems.
Service Type
Napster offers music through streaming and downloads. Files are available in DRM-enforced AAC+ or WMA formats.
Go Live Time
It takes between 1 and 3 weeks for content to go live in Napster.
Paid Downloads
Payouts are based on territory specific rates, so for songs downloaded individually in a store, you will be paid the wholesale price of the channel's retail price. Not including transaction surcharges added (for e.g Paypal), less VAT and fees due to exploitation of the content payable to Collecting Societies.
Paid Streams
When a subscriber streams your music (this excludes non-subscriber streams that are 30 seconds or less), you get paid a proportionate share of Napster's subscription revenue per month. The pay-out rates can fluctuate each month, depending on how much subscription revenue was generated and how often your music was streamed.
